Wanted: Gransport Wheels & Larini end pipes please for a 3200GT

Decided to keep the 3200GT for another year or until my wallet decides to open up far enough to accomodate a Gransport, so thought I might as well make it to my personal specification, so am scanning the horison for the following:-

1. A set of Gransport wheels, don't mind a few scuffs or colour as long as not bent or chunks out of them
2. A pair of Laraini end pipes, don't mind a bit of dirt, but no rust please..theres only so much elbow grease can do

Join the queue! I've been looking for a spare set of GS wheels for a while now - long before I bought the GS. They do come up occsaionally, often in the US. US wheels are fetching $4k and I found a set in Portugal for $3k, with tyres. I can't strtch to them at the mo, just to have them sat in the garge until winter.

They occsaionally come on to eBay too -there was a set on there a couple of months back which were up for £1800.

For what they are, I think they're too dear. Good luck in the search though, and if you happen to come across two sets, let me know

Big queue then £1000 is acceptable but $4k...ouch! Also been looking for a while too, but now in earnest.
Like Alfa's why are wheels not interchangeable between models? Have seen loads of Gran Turismo wheels up for grabs on fleabay.
I may even try Maserati, I'm off to Italy in August, might take a trip to the factory

custom alloy manufacturer.. I guess exactly copying the GS wheels is some kind of copyright infringement but if small alterations were made....

We could always try a group buy with them , im sure if we could get an order for 5 sets we could get them down to around £1500 a set , now for virtual copy set of GS wheels brand new thats got to be a bargain

As an indication, you can get a genuine set from Maserati for around £2600.

Is that including Vat Woody , i know Pat (masersod ) had a set of Ball polished rims exchanged under warranty at DL , think they were around £850 per rim plus Vat

Yep, think so. They're supposed to be £3600 but the price I was given, from a main agent, was £2600. Not sure if that was a limited offer. If you (or anyone else) want the details, PM me - not sure the guy would appreciate his contact details being put on here

Did see BennyD's post & saw the v-short vid, but it did not do it for me, my 3200 came with a set of new stainless sports pipes, the sound is deep, but not quite right & do prefer my circular end pipes over the square ones. The sound of the Larini's on Conero's Gransport has me hooked (hope the sound is the same or close), what I want is the that sound with the crackling on the overrun from my old Cerbera, a couple of flames would not go a miss too

in fact, there is a vid of a Silver 3200 in exactly the same guise inc Gransport wheels as I want mine on the you tube vid title '3200 GT Larini Full system No cats'

With tyres that is 2.5k is it only me who thinks that is a bit steep?

I agree. I know of a set which have tyres on for that sort of money, but I just don't see the value. Not when 32 wheels can be bought for £125 a pop and a set of 42 wheels can be had for c£500.
