Andy..thanks.
Elliott budget is what it takes to get a good car in a colour and spec I like. I have soaked up all the advice from here for over a year and I will only buy a car from a dealer such as Richard or privately from an enthusiast from likes of on here or recommended by someone on here.
I have spoken to a couple of sellers and it became obvious after 30 seconds the car should be avoided like the plague.
In truth I really want a Spyder but for various reasons right now I have settled on a tin top. Head is still telling the heart not to look at Spyder adverts!!
I am a very long way away from most of the cars for sale and I don't intend to spend days of my life getting from one end of the UK to the other to find out the car is a dog.
My standards seem to differ from a lot of other people selling cars and bikes. Excellent condition in my book doesn't mean scuffs on the paintwork and worn bolsters on seats to say nothing of potential mechanical money pits.
If someone tells me about these issues and price takes that into account then fine but sadly too many folk are inveterate liars or need a wee trip to Specsavers.
