While at JCT600 collecting my humpted boot floor, was a load of Ferrari crates in the stores. When I asked what had been delivered, I was told £65k of Ferrari 430 body/suspension parts...for a crashed car in Hong Kong! Apparently they where supplying the parts so the car could be repaired in Hong Kong, for there is no dealer over there (surprising?)
Anyway talking about insurance writing off cars in the UK, apparently with a young Ferrari, in the UK, they are written off if the repair exceeds 35% of the new car price. This sounds very low to me?...but does explain why older Maserati's are written off so quickly.
