I think I need to replace the rear tyres on my GS. What are people using / recommending? Thanks

I am a Michelin fan. So Michelin Pilot Sport 4 on all 4 corners fitted last year. Absolutely superb. Transformed the car.

The Porsche runs Michelin Pilot Sports all-round but N-rated to meet Porsche standards. Again, superb tyres on a 4 wheel drive Porsche 996 Turbo.

Oh dear. Here we go again…!

The précis is this. If you run it as a daily car in the snow and sub zero temperatures, go Michelin. If it’s a summer toy, follow Maseratis recommendation, keep it original and go Pirelli.

I guess for a tailored approach we should ask the general application. There are perfectly acceptable 'mid-range' tyres on the market (Kuhmo PS71 etc) again depends how they are to be used. I do love PS4s and these are my staple for the Noble.

My Strad tramlined really badly with the Pirellis but it's pretty much gone with Michelins so it's not quite that straight forward (and mine is a summer toy).

I'm very happy with my PS4Ss*, which are much better than the original fit PZeros, including in warm weather and especially in wet weather.

*@MarkMas to please advise if any apostrophes would be useful

To add some actual facts to the discussion, here are the findings from the SM Top Secret Tyre Test Team's trip to France to see how good a certain tyre is at staying out of the hedges.
