Early ones were metal, later models plastic, which may explain price difference, if not the amount.

Never buy original parts off eBay, just go to your dealer.
Example, 4 wheel caps from ebay £80, main dealer price, £26

Yes I found the wheel caps are much cheaper - but the trident badge is only supplied as the complete grille?

No reason to doubt the description of it being a genuine part. Dealer price? £15.

Just looked at Eurospares-------£188-63 for a 4200. The retaining screw though is a mere 32 pence. A bargain.

A quick update
H R Owen Stockport - checked - no longer available from the factory. Put me onto Eurospares - no new - 1 second hand £60
Checked with Ross at Meridien - in stock £102 +VAT. He has both plain and red stripe - same price.
