I have the same problem as the original poster (without the dash warnings though - thankfully!).
Definite sloshing front and back, and not in the door. Also on passenger side, and by the sound of it there is a lot of water! It usually takes two or three weeks of good weather for it to eventually drain away. I have never been able to work out where I could 'relieve' it from.
Don't know if it is related (but I suspect it is, given it is also on the passenger side) I get water build up in the petrol filler cap recess behind the flap. The drain hole there doesn't seem to flow, despite having tried to unblock with wire. I always have to mop out the excess water in there with a towel after washing the car, or heavy rain.
PS I no longer get water build up in the boot, as I have had a drain hole and grommet fitted at the bottom!
Like the original poster, any help greatly appreciated.
