My old work drill had three motors and two chucks! lol. Is it DeWalt? Maybe speak to them?
you should of bought makita and now probably cheaper (better) just to buy a new one, always loads of deals from screwfix and toolstation
bare units without the batteries or charger are fairly cheap these daysI might have to, as I can't get the chuck to release from the spindle. Soaking with penetrating fluid. I'm a bit worried that I'm screwing up the gearbox
TBH I rather like my de-walt and have clippers that use the same battery

here you go

Must admit I like my Dewalt stuff, probably not as rugged as some brands but lightweight, reasonable quality and perfect for the amount of DIY stuff I do
That's some hardcore manscaping, bruv.TBH I rather like my de-walt and have clippers that use the same battery
if you regularly use cordless tools i would recommend getting the 5amp batteries as well as they last a heck of lot longer that the 2/3 amp ones especially in the angle grinders and circulars saws

I still have my wooden-handled (cordless) hammers I've had since the 1950s. And use them...Replaced everything in November 2021 with the Bosch Pro-Factor line...had had DeWalts, too...but the cordlesss miter saw threw me over. No need to have to run a 200' extension cord to work off the tailgate...that said, if you are doing DIY-type stuff replacing the drill body is the right play here...
If you really care to have a spare, drop it by an authorised repair centre (presuming those exist in Rightpondia).
I miss the old Craftsman/Sears days. Before my grandfather passed, he gave me a wooden handled Craftsman hammer he had had since the 1950s. Handle broke on me in the 1990s, and I waltzed in. Salesman told me to go pick out any hammer in the store and walk out with it...
Same...relative to having and using some very well-seasoned wooden handled hammers...! Being only circa the early 70s...I still have my wooden-handled (cordless) hammers I've had since the 1950s. And use them...
