I quite like that. Looks a lot better than most of the SUVs around currently IMO. I wonder if I'll end up getting one for Mrs MAF to trash!

Agree they've made a pretty good fist of it - trying to fit Maserati design cues to an SUV was never going to be easy.

I would say that's probably it. Shame, nothing about it that screams "Buy me"

If it has Ghibli underpinnings, it will be descent enough.

Conaero's verdict = pass.

If that is it then pass for me to...Not individual enough...The back is just pure Porsche.

For an SUV, I think that's rather good. Picks up the current Maserati styling very well. And I guess there is only so much you can do differently with the back of an SUV. But I think it is much more elegant at the rear than the Cayenne if you put the two rear images next to each other. The shape of the rear window is more attractive, particularly the way it nearly comes together at the top with the rear side windows. And the way they have kept the rear wheel arch bulge line and followed it around over the rear lights and into the tailgate. In fact the more I look at it the more I like it

Oh here we go......the needle on the records stuck again. This is exactly what was said about the Ghibli when it was launched. Looks like a Lexus or a Mazda 6......... And with a few exceptions most on here have changed their tune

But it does....The Ghibli still had bits of those cars in it...I still see the Mazda from a distance and think it that Ghibli...The thing the Ghibli has going for it is that it is better looking than the others...I can only say what I can see......Cannot sit here and say it is lovely when I don't see it that way. In the flesh it may look very different and with time perhaps it will grow on me but at this moment in time it doesn't appeal to me. There are better looking 4x4's out there.......

This is all personal taste of course, but just from these photos I thnk it's better looking than most other SUVs currently out there. I thought Porsche made a pretty good fist of the second generation Cayenne, and in the photos this looks better than that in my opinion. But I'll wait to see it in the flesh in Geneva.........

NO agree...we all see someting different and if we were all the same life would be boring....I agree on the Porsche have done a good job of there 4x4.....I think they made a better job with the Macan.........I really do hope that when I finally see this in the flesh it changes my mind...After all it is a Maserati...

Yes, it's a Maserati. So I'm just now trying to figure out how to prevent my wife from seeing it......

I see that the Ghibli owners like it! This would be below the Jag F Pace, Macan and most Land/Range Rovers on my list, I don't like it at all but at least it's different (Andy - I have a Mazda 6 and it's better looking than other cars in its class, but it's no Ghibli! You might see a bit of other brands here and there but this is still quite distinctive). The question is whether it will do the job it needs to do. Regardless of what people here think of it, has the Ghibli been a success? I just want Maserati to earn enough to build decent sports GTs.

I like the F Pace...That is a good looking 4x4...I see there is one on my company car list....CO2 to high though for me to take.

Waiting to see it in Geneva.

I can't see how a relatively large SUV/4x4 can be made to look elegant - the Cayenne isn't, the Macan isn't, the F-Pace isn't, but so what? Their styling suits the vehicle type, and to be honest, without badges and grills they all look virtually identical.
