Tickety Tickety Tick

Hello all, a new sound has developed under the 3200, seems to be coming from the rear of the nearside turbo/pre cat area, only there when warmed up/hot, doesn't do it cold. Exhaust leak? Loose pre cat? It goes away under throttle when revving up and comes back when the revs start to drop, car still drives fine. I've tried to pin point it with a video, ignore the knocking type sound that's the much discussed torque convertor, it's the tickety tickety rattle lol :)
Suggestions on a postcard pls

It sounds like a blowing exhaust or vacuum line, maybe a hole or blown exhaust gasket? Hopefully nothing more serious...

As in broken and its hanging in the wind?
Thanks

No, you’d notice something wrong when driving if it was broken, so doubt it.

Actuator and rod loose: Give the rod a waggle, see if there’s any play.

Wastegate itself rattling will mean the pivot or flap itself is worn. That’s a turbo out job

Long shot, but on my old 3200 the rotor coupling cover became loose and made noise as everything slightly vibrated. So worth having a look. I had them tightened with some of that thread glue inserted.

I can hear an exhaust blowing a little and a bit of (normal sounding) valve tap. I have no idea about the 3200 though.

Neither does anybody who has one. If they had any idea, they wouldn't have bought one. :D

Also, I do know from bitter experience, that if you put 3200 parts on 4200, the 4200 becomes as unreliable as a 3200. I bet you didn't know that. Perhaps you should read 'my book'. C***.
Nah, I think you'll find the "Gay Cavalier" you bought was ****** to start with, show me one that isn't? Tally Ho old chap! ;)

Yes, I bit. That's because I just got a bill to get the old girl back on the road. True, there were non 3200 related problems but the truth is, it's never been as reliable as it was before the cursed Boomerangs were transplanted. Ironically, the evil ba5tard that sold me the lights is now cleaning my wallet out! :D

Bolloxcs. For the first 2 years I had it, I put over 20,000 HARD miles on her and she never missed a beat. I'm sure Dem, Stu and many others would agree how much of a beasting she got. So, best you take your 'tally ho' and ram it up your corn hole.
