Thinking about this GT

Pretty tempted by this...

Looks pretty sweet, will probably go see it at the weekend. Seems like a reasonable price for the mileage and condition.

Does anyone know this car?

Dealer says it has a little kerbage on the rear drivers' side wheel and a fin missing from the grille but these will be sorted.

Chinese Goldway G2002 tyre(s?) suggest expenses have been spared. I kind of like the red leather - more interesting than the usual black.

I'd say that represents great value for money, it has the darker red interior so suits that colour body well.

The tyres look fairly new so could have been fitted by the dealer to get it through the mot so I wouldn't write it off because of that but my offer would include 4 new tyres.

What I don't like is dealers disguising the plate so I'd ask for the number to do the mot history check , couple that with the service history to get a better idea how it's been cared for.

Having read a few horror stories I'd make sure I paid at least some of it on finance because that gives you a lot more rights if something packs up on it.

Car looks lovely.....As long as you check the history and get it looked at by an independent then I wouldn't worry about the tyres. These cars at a price were some owners made nit put expensive tyres on but doesn't always mean it hasn't been looked after. As above could have been the dealer. Not heard of the dealer have some nice stock though.

Cheers guys I think I'll go have a look but yeah I may well insist on decent tyres, and I will definitely be getting a full pre-delivery check-over done by a reputable Maserati indie, and I'll ask for the plate no.

Might be being SOR'd by the dealer hence the tax still on it. Dealer probably waiting for a buyer before putting fresh MOT on it.

mot history looks ok except or the failure on exposed tyre plys, not surprising with the options currently wore.

Yes, I wouldn't worry about the MOT having expired - I'll even put a full year's ticket on it guv, says the dealer.
Looks good to me, the tyres failed the MOT in 2015 at 42k so it looks like the Chinese ones went on then to get it through the MOT so they're certainly due a change and the pads were wearing thin then also so they should be replaced if they haven't already been seen to
Good luck

Lovely, ta.

Last service was done on 27th October 2014, at 33,133 miles, at a place called "Slade's Garage" on Church Road, Bucks which according to the stamp does Ferrari and Aston Martin.

So the car has done 13,000 since the service and it's 3 months overdue...hmmm.....has this car been neglected a bit do you think?

I supposed if it hasn't been used... The dealer did say the service was due and did say he would get it done, I guess I need to find out exactly where he's planning on taking it.

Not ideal but not that far adrift I'd have thought

I'd go have a look. Get a couple of k off for the tyres and the service and off you go

C

He has said he will replace all the tyres with a decent brand but they'd be part-worn at 5-6mm. He also said he'll get the service sorted. I'm just asking what garage he's intending to use, hopefully not Fred in a Shed.
