"Yes. When they ceased to be the current weapon, they became very cheap and were a wonderful thing to buy to hack around on the street or to race. You could buy one for 1,500 quid. You'd race it, and if something went wrong you'd get shot of it and buy another one, because it was cheaper than taking it apart and fixing it."

Unbelievable! I wonder if there are any cars like that today which may have the same fate in the future?

Hmmm, That's about £25k in todays money...still a rich mans game to have that much money to spend on a disposable track car.

Still had it been left in a lockup it would be worth over 2 million?
