Very pleased to see this is resolved. However I wonder why it was lost/removed in the first place...maybe you had a replacement NIT?

Yeah I do find it very strange, it's not like there is an old one floating around in there and I can't understand why someone wouldn't replace a £6 Ebay part...
I don't know if Nav was standard? Maybe someone added the disc at some later date thinking that was all you needed to add Nav, then have up when it didn't work?
Who knows.
I might even **** around with the phone now, try get that to work...

Nav was not standard as you say...my fist 4200 was without but David and I retro fitted it as per the link I sent.

You do however need the software and that is a couple of hundred pounds for the disc and instructions.

My thoughts is a second hand NIT was fitted and that already had navigation programmed in.

The phone requires additional hard and software... unless you already have the phone symbol next to the navigation icon on the display.

Is there a service menu for the QP DX nav system? Nothing wrong with mine but I never miss an opportunity to bügger things up if I can.
