I see in the sunday times mag there will be an episode touring Europe in "bargain priced" maseratis...could be interesting depending what they mean by bargain....

I have scanned this thread trying to find any reference to the Maserati episode of GT as I want to know if I was the only one who was rather offended by them destroying three nearly roadworthy Maseratis that could surely have been saved by willing enthusiasts?

Maybe it was just me, but it made me wince. And it wasn't funny either - just childish, like so much of the show.

I agree it wasn't funny or entertaining in any way but I can't say I was offended by the choice of car or what they did to them. 3 cheap Maserati's nobody really wants

I too wasn't offended. It is not as thought they haven't done the same with a whole load of other cars.

What I found disappointing was that they didn't take the cars on a beautiful scenic trip in a county I have never visited and learnt some amazing facts along the way. They didn't do anything remotely interesting with the cars or location.

Top Gear is dead, no presenter worth his/her salt will touch it with a barge pole now.

I'd wait until the next series has been on before saying that.
Personally I think they've a good chance of reinventing itself now.

A bit like when Fergie left Man U. Moyes was the fall guy. On Top Gear, Evans was the fall guy.
