The lad's school is closed today (unusually, this one is pretty good at being open come **** or high water) so I assume we've had a fairly thorough dumping across the region. CCTV shows a suggestion of a Fiat 500 shape on the driveway, but it'd take a braver (or dafter) man than me to try and drive it anywhere.

Nil of the white stuff between Bristol and Cardiff...looks like a little dandruff in the corners and thats it.

So impending doom is avoided but still no sign of the Welsh in the office yet.

Morning all.
Quite a few inches here and currently snowing, but the roads look fine at the moment.
Need to travel, taking our lad for a 6 monthly check this morning, after his ecoli poisoning in the summer, and, it's my last day of employment after nearly 17 years with my currently employer, so need to drop off the company car etc.
Start new job week on Monday, so next week need to sort a new company car, and visit the Geneva Motor Show!

Good morning everyone!
I'm currently on an interesting call to Copenhagen. The snow missed us again last night.

Well that'll be quite a change for you. Pleased to hear you're taking your research seriously.

Alas, as I will be funding my own company car through a car allowance, i'm looking a something a year old or so, the Geneva Motor Show will just be for fun with a couple of mates, day return EasyJet from Liverpool!

At least you'll have fun though, Mike!

I've just finished my 2 pint pot of tea, by a quarter past eight - one of those days eh?

A bit ore snow overnight and cold too.
Is it me but what is happening to news bulletins these days?
they seem to pick a subject - weather, Trump, NHS etc flog it to death for a couple of days sensationalising everything and then just as suddenly drop it.
It is winter, it is February, is 2 inches of snow deserving of nick names and scare mongering?
should have saved this for the rant thread

Reliably informed from home that N Yorks is shut. In Lanzarotte it is absolutely lashing down. Not sure what our wet weather programme is but I guess the bar will be open. May actually put the TV on.

Pretty much. Took me 90 mins to get in this morning. Passed stranded cars on Cherry Hill road between Stokesley and Mbro, and was driving in 6" of virgin snow...! Amazing what a good set of winters can do!

Morning, you ‘orrible lot. Last day in Delhi today. Slow start, some stuff to catch up on and then heading over to Dubai this afternoon and back home (weather permitting, I suppose!) tomorrow morning. Still chasing to get an inspection on the car I’m trying to buy, but it seems like the weather has slowed things down a bit. **** off, snow!

Morning,

Another day WFH due to the snow. I cleared the snow off the cars yesterday evening in preparation to venture out today but you can't tell now and the blizzard that's blowing would probably have deterred me anyway. Glad that I have a job I can do without being the office.

Have a great day all and stay safe
