Morning forum. Somewhat thick headed this morning, and I have a private student coming in 45 minutes. Oh well, I'll manage :)

Have a great day, all

Safe travels Andy.

Morning all, lead arms this morning but actually not as stiff as I thought I would be. Back to site later to clear up the spoil.

Have fun all...

Disagree with that Dave depending on which engine as to specific issues from variators to guides from my experience.

Yeah QP, it would seem they all rattle on start up, nothing to worry about,

Morning All....
Nice...good idea the QP. I think as you say there is always a little rattle but it is if it stays rattling after a while it can be an issue I thought.

Plenty around so I would say buy one with variators already done or at least budget for it in the deal should it need doing. Mine was done just before I bought it. I'd sell you mine if I ever had a wobble

I think Dave is being sarcastic.... they don't all do that on startup and the longer they do it for the worse they are.

Dave....sarcastic....never There must be a nice QP ZF out there with variators done for less than 20k. I had to wait and work hard but the right car came up in the end.l for me.

I will get it serviced next year & get the wheels refurbed.

The seems to be a glut of early DS QP's from 10-15k. Hard to sell one of these if you have one as you need to have one that sticks out from the crowd. The blues or reds seem to be less common & more desired than blacks or greys or silvers I would have thought. Also lighter interiors are nice for me. Not a fan of QP black interiors.

Yes Andy, I have descided I am going to grow a pot, a bit like that Wheeler Dealer Trading Up thing. Dunno what's next but I might try and flip the Audi Q3 lease car I have as I know it's mint.

What's the procedure for buying a car off the lease company, barter it down, make them an offer or what?

If I can make £3k on that it will go into a rolling pot and see if I can make say £20k year on year to prove I can do it.

The other route is to buy a basket E type or similar and do it up over a year and go for one larger sale???

They will call you one month before the end of the lease and give you a price and there may be some room for negotiation but usually it is a firm price. I'd say you might make a grand at the most on something like a Q3.

Morning forum

This week I have two audits running. This is sub optimal, and I may be grumpy.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Morning all.....Friend nought his lease car.... Mercedes E close Coupe thing...He paid around 6k under book but I suppose it all depends on car and if they think they can sell quick maybe. Once my XE lease runs out I am thinking of doing the same so Liz can have it.....It will be 4 years old and probably have a 120k on her but will be well looked after and serviced well....las hound be a reasonable price by then.

Morning chaps.

Jet lagged after coming in from Canada yesterday. Actually amazed that I made it to 5am given the 7 hour time difference.

My mother's Volvo lease car runs out in October and they won't give a price yet. Our plan is to buy it if the price is reasonable. I think it will be around 2k under book which is the prediction of the company that set up the lease. She's only on 26k miles coming to 48 months from new so that's a good deal if it happens.

On another front, Auto Glass are scheduled to finally show up and install the OEM windscreen into the Stradale today. It's been waiting for a while but holidays got in the way.

Might even drive it to celebrate....
