The bike was fantastic, the sellers expectations are probably way too high for the market. Showed Alex the bike via Watsapp video link which was amazing in realtime to Vancouver! Some lovely touches implemented and mechanically a sublime build. In reality I think we may however go for a local machine that we looked at a few weeks ago that is ready to go so he can get to work when he is ready (he is going back next week but I suspect by train). It would be another project though.

Have fun all...

Morning everyone. Mrs Catman wants to go to mass and see an ex organist friend. So I shall find a nice coffee shop to loiter in. Then we're off to the coast I feel.

Have a great day, all

Morning all, from a hot and humid Singapore. Nice flight. Now, with breakfast a very recent memory, I'm contemplating dinner.

Morning all. Feel a bit jaded from yesterday's shenanigans. Although far better than I felt yesterday morning.
Nice 3 hour drive back from Cardiff coming up followed by the rest of the day dying on the sofa.

Tipping down here and I need to persuade my brain that it's evening so I'm sitting outside undercover and having a gin and tonic.

Well Alex just bought another bike (or rather I did for him)!!!

Another BMW R65 Cafe Racer/Scrambler, it is a little bit of a project bike but at least it is ready to go when he is and we can tweak it as it goes along.

Some odd choices made in the execution by the last owner...

Just back from Emblem, airbag warning light reset and stupid passenger airbag switch replaced.

Whilst I was there had a look around as you do 4 3200 were in for various work, one with the engine in bits. Tim was commenting how hard it was becoming to get 3200 bits, engine components and manual gearbox bits are almost impossible new now.

wow what time did you leave to get back that quick or was it foot to the floor :)

got back about 4:30 and seems the rain was holding out for me, as soon as i put her in the garage the heavens opened however i got soaked getting to the house.
reports all good, had servce, rear pads as old ones turned out to be wrong ones fitted by another specialyst....grrr.
can't recommend FTech enough, some distance to travel but great guys, wish them the very best of luck in the business.
