On the way back from Heathrow yesterday I decided to pop in and have a a nose around The Copse, which is the new Ferrari/Maserati dealership premises for Dick Lovett Swindon. Very nice indeed, with a Gran Cabrio and Stradale on display amongst other GT variants.

Had a chat with one of the sales guys, Tom, who indicated that there would be no new Maserati model released within the next 12 months, but instead the GT would get a further makeover, including daytime running lights (how GT-R).

The more GTs sold, the cheaper they are going to get second hand so not all bad I suppose for those who want one.

Yep, a review in this months EVO....4.5 STARS OUT OF FIVE...

Plus - Best everyday Grantourismo yet.
Minus - Starting to get long in the tooth.

Sum up -
Handsome, charismatic, sporting and everyday useable, the automatic Grantourismo Sport is the car Maserati always promised us. It's a shame its taken 5 years to get here.

They do say that the MC Shift automated manual car drives much the same as it did before and remains the obvious choice for the hardcore Maserati fan but the new MC Autoshift automatic version is very different. Maserati have managed to change the shift gearchange time on the ZF six speed gearbox tojust 200ms when sport mode is selected. Thats half of what it was before and the gearbox now blips the engine on downshifts making the driving characteristics of the two boxes much closer than they were before.
