Talk me out of a R8 V10

Funny how many cars beat a Maser technically in many ways but in the most important ways there is no better & nothing that beats a Maser in these areas.

As it is, I keep looking elsewhere, and I know it makes sense but as Benny says, "what makes your ******** tingle", I took my son for some car **** browsing, he is 20, and at Alexander's he walked past everything and was stood in front of a Grancab!! I despair as I would never buy one, I was sat in a DB9!! But each to their own, life's to short!!

I took a mate for a spin in my GT the other day. He was blown away. And he works in the motor trade.
He said it was certainly quick enough in the real world. He said it was the best looking car he'd seen in years, especially in blue. And made the best noise of any car he'd ever heard.

He's now wondering how many extra cars he needs to spray a week to get one.

Rags - thanks for bringing the thread back on track. It was taking a worrying turn for a while. Thought I was on "Sports Haidressers dot com" with all that Eunos chat.

How much was the cost to change to the R8 V10? Is it a fair comparison?
It's all personal opinion. i would be amazed if an R8 got more attention than a Strad.
I quite liked the R8 when they came out a decade ago. They were something new. To my eye they haven't changed much and would come after Ferrari, Lambo, Mclaren, Maserati and Aston Martin in that order.

A mate had one in which he was working on for his Uncle. V8 one but it looked dated and too much like a TT for me. £38k if anyone wants it...

Rags! You are correct on most of it, speed, tech but sorry not on looks and sound! And no way will a R8 get more looks than a GTS...

The R8 list with options was £153k. From recollection the list on my Maz was £108k(?) but that was over 4 years ago.

Not sure about the Strad but the R8 gets much more attention than my GTS. A lot lot more. I am now getting put off by it. And mine is in boring black too.

The new R8 is a big change from the old one. I picked it over the Huracan as I didn't want the "extra" attention. Didnt want a McLaren but I should have considered the Astons more.

You are right Phil dated, which is odd as the Maser comes from the same age but just looks so much more err " desirable "

Yes a mate has a Plus with Larini, 130dB like mine. Nice place to be but not got the ******** tingle that a Maser gives. Hence why you want another GTS.
