Came across this on PH......seems it still happens, however can I clarify with anyone if an SD read out will confirm the true mileage?

I was told that the way you can tell with a CC is the shifts. The GCU logs the shifts and there is a rule of thumb/average shift window.

If its wide of the mark, its probably been clocked.

You could always go back to the dealer and have this checked as they would hold all the previous SD's...the shifts go up as normal but the mileage does not!!!

It helps if all the old MOTs have mileage stated, but there is always a way.
