Started work on cleaning everything up to a good standard.
First job were the Twin 1 1/2 SU Carbs. I completely stripped them
and soaked the parts in petrol before drying and blast cleaning with
glass beads in my little blast cabinet. Rebuilt with S.U. rebuild kit.
Very happy with the result. :)

BEFORE AND AFTER PICS.

Latest update.
Axle refurbished and refitted to the car, with AVO coilover adjustable shocks,
5 link locating bars, huge improvement over the standard set up.

I've been busy working on the Engine, +80 thou Rebore, 741 fast road cam, new followers, nitrided rocker shaft and rockers, big valve head, ported and polished with new guides. All balanced and lightened, should be about 130 BHP on a 45 dcoe Weber, with a Powerflow 3 branch exhaust.

A waste of time of time rebuilding the SUs then! At least you should be able to sell them in that condition. The car is looking good though so well done. ;)

I was going to run the engine on the SU's, but I was offered the 45 Weber on a decent manifold. complete with linkage for a VERY reasonable price, so decided to go for it!!!
