Of course they are nice looking, you can just tell they are more showy in a Ferrari type way. That said is have ken just not convinced is sell my 3200 for one as I love the Giugario styling. One day I might go for one in addition or maybe a QP as I like both Pinninfarina designs.

And yes your GS is probably as quick as a MCS.

Of course it's all personal choice, the GS and GT are so different - apples & oranges but both are great cars. For me, the 3200 on it's day is better than both but that's just my opinion and I do stress ON IT'S DAY (and you may have noticed the word stress, comes with the 3200 you could say!). All great cars & I would have one of each if I could.

The GS should be slightly quicker than a GTS theoretically as it has a better power to weight ratio. Much of it will be down to the driver and I'm not sure if the gearing/gear changes are better/faster in the GTS to help. I'd quite like to pitch my GS against a GTS as I have around 450bhp (need to measure properly after the ECU remap) and revised gearbox software. A standard GTS has 440bhp and is heavier - it would be interesting to see if either is quicker on the road/track.

On the road you need at least a 20% power to weight difference to see any material improvement IMHO.

Then again, its how car handles, how it brakes and whose at the wheel!

Indeed. I personally don't really understand the debate here as there are few opportunities to exploit any differential on the road and all Maseratis' are too heavy for the track IMHO. From my experience I would say that the straight line performance of my 4.7 auto GranTurismo seems about the same as my manual facelift 4200 but the newer car has much better traction (MSP rarely comes on) and hugely better braking due largely to much less dive under deceleration & much less ABS cut in.

People truly aren't comparing like with like.........so not a real debate as to which is better, quicker etc

There is not much difference, only very small I guess, but each car has own version of getting there and it's down to the individual which way they like the best..!!
