Stone chips and clear coat damage

I've noticed I have damage to the clear coat on my car.

There are spots on the bumper, wing and side mirror, around 6 in total. I think that they have been caused by stones.

This is a picture of the worst offender which looks like it has gone through to the paint underneath and is about the size of a 20p piece.

I was wondering what was the best way to get them fixed. I've looked into Chipex and Chipsaway. I guess the other option is a body shop. Does any one have any recommendations?

Chipex is pretty good but only from a few feet away. It's a tidy-up, not a repair. For me it tides me over until I get the nose to the body shop to be re-painted.

You don't park near to a golf course, do you? I've seen similar damage from golf balls and large hailstones.

Not close enough to get hit by one.

They were not there when I bought the car last August. They only appear after some "spirited driving".

I think I'll go down the Chipex route first on one of the smaller spots on the mirror and see where we go from there.

Hi tony chipex is very temporary. I had the same problem when I jet washed the nose cone and got under the clear coat of a stone chip.

Inevitably it's a reliant of the affected area.
