Squeaking noise

I've noticed a squeak/graunch from the rear of the GS when I go over bumps (no, it's not coming from a passenger...). Obviously with the car's recent history of suspension repairs, I'll be getting it looked at again but just wondered whether there are any 'usual suspects' - components that tend to get loose and make a bit of noise that I should check out in the meantime? Does sound like metallic components are rubbing...

Sounds like a corroded wishbone to subframe bolt. See it you can take them all out and grease them but I suspect it seized and the squeaking you can hear is the bush trying to twist which ultimately ends up in the wishbone cracking.

I'm no mechanic, but am I right in thinking that this is unlikely since the rear lower arm has just been replaced?

More likely a dry bush I'd have thought.

C

That seems very plausible. Thanks.

Also, since it's 4pm on a Friday, I have to summarise it thus:

You think the squeak from my rear is due to a dry bush?

I can't find the smilie for getting my coat.
