The Wee Woman finds the Spyder a tad noisy on the Mways. I have suggested earplugs.

Idly looking recently at Jaguar XK8’s the other day: “like the look of that?” I asked, not expecting the answer “why not?”
Oh dear…. Not expensive and we might have space.
Apart from rust, suspension clunks, Nikosil, tensioners, water pump and belts - all of which the Interweb point out, from the collective wisdom here is there much more to be aware of?

The early ones >2000 are such beauties.

They are certainly good value to buy.
I'm guessing most will have had the nikasol bores sorted along with timing chains and guides.
I reckon Rust will be the biggest concern so check the MOT history.
Lots of Specialists that know the cars well.
Saw a Market Place advert this week for a Coupé asking £495.00

After trying and giving up on Jaguarforums.com we are truly blessed here on SM with no really, really annoying pop-ups, floating ads and other screen clutter and cr*p so beloved of other sites like theirs.

Yes if there was pop ups, et al. The revenue stream would be substantial probably enough to set up a new garage with..........

Agree - I tried the Audi/RS3 sites for some help with some minor issues - and got no where - I never realised I started with the best.

Totally agree I too have tried other forums but not are like this one.
I regularly get contacted for automotive advice which I'm more than happy to give around the World.
