Its probably a new original unit. There basically are none of these left. Whats the value of it if it's really the only one left? Clearly since I am completely rebuilding the originals now quite successfully I suspect not as much as they think , but who knows it may be important to someone.

Worth also bearing in mind that the new units when they were last on sale around 2010 were around the £1800 mark. So its only 4 X the previous retail price. Which is crazy I suppose, but....

I think you are being very fair Davy. Modena seem to work on that basis quite a bit: “I have the only one of these in the world, and I’ll charge what I like and don’t care if it doesn’t sell for 10 years”

It’s certainly an approach.

But it's also, often, not true. There are multiple parts available. This may be an exception but *all* Modena's parts are OTT
