KWB called me, he's off his rocker, this is an insane deal and its a very good car that has been through our workshop and is all good.

Whoever gets it, don't break it or buy it to sell on, use it, enjoy it and be thankful that KWB has basically donated it for another member to enjoy.
You know me too well, Matt!

Just got back after one last spin in her. I'm sure it already has an x pipe or some Newton lunacy attached! Anyway, I originally went to see if the GC will fit in the garage. I squeezed the GC in (fnaar) to the amazement of onlookers who thought they had turned up at a maserati owner(s!) meeting. Only to find the GC is too long for the garage, after all the curfuffle of deciding to sell one car…..Wtf!

So, if the deal is done tonight, it looks like the GC is heading to Newcastle instead, as we are pretty much away until mid August anyway.

I'll look after it over the summer. It will fit next to the Strad nicely. ;)

I'm half way to Singapore already. Hopefully I can do the same deal there and afford the rest of the flight back home!

This makes me in-explicably happy. Well done

C
I’m delighted it has gone to an obvious fan and enthusiast - I may be mad but I would rather it went this way at a substantial loss to me than be passed to people who think this is just a future profit opportunity (this time, next life I will become a millionaire!)

Anyway, I might have only kept it for 2.5 years and driven a few thousand miles to the lovely Newcastle and back a few times but it will forever be in my memory as a real beauty.

BTW, after 6 years of moaning about me owning a few Maseratis, the bloody wife just said to me in the pub - ‘that car (the 4200 - she doesn’t know what model it is) is so much more fun and louder than the new car - what’s the new one called?’ It was her effin birthday present Ffs. OK, she’s not insured but…! RANT OVER

Thank the lord, @conaero is fitting an x pipe next week to the GC, not that I’d notice, deaf old cono that I am who hates noise, especially the shouty tourists in our local Weymouth pub (says the Kiwi).

Sometimes passing a special car on to a someone who will cherish is most important. Well done.

A while back, I sold my genuine factory '56 VW Cabriolet to an enthusiast friend of mine. He treats it like it was his baby, and it always looks beautiful. It runs perfectly - and I have 'visiting rights'. I can have a drive anytime...:)

We have our own sportscats coming in 3 months if you really want to shut her up?

Thread title change required. Stolen rather than sold.:excellent:
L just picked it up this arvo. The whole family seemed rather enamoured of the beast, which was great fun to see. So much better than throwing it away to a trader...

Lovely gesture too BTW - I got a couple of rather nice wines thrown in to the deal. Mind you, I did forget to empty the fuel tank!!

haha! Yep another Cat N - stolen, but by the owner, perhaps needs a new category :)
Was a pleasure to meet you Guy - my 6 year old loved the drive back, insisting on the window open, don't think I need a DNA test to know he's mine!!
Will give it a good clean and wax - even my father who has NO interest in cars and drives a 15 year old Skoda wants a quick spin tomorrow - I was rather shocked! Wine and fuel are about the same price these days, so think I may be a couple of bottles in your debt still - you know where I live - but a pleasure doing a good deal with you for certainty. A good day all round :)
Thanks all!! Will put a photo up once all shiny and I take a picture ...
