Thanks, I did try that but it didn't come up in the reply box?
In other news, car is looking more and more sparkly as more cleaning is done,it's getting there. Took family out to a lovely country pub tonight, to find they had no gas= no food. Went to shut the drivers door and the puddle light fell out of the bottom of the door and broke the holder and bulb. I haven't had anything like that since my TVR days!
Then my daughter kindly got out the back and tried to shut the door with the seatbelt buckle in the way and marked the door cill badly.
Not the most successful evening I've had.....

Is there away of setting the headlights to come on in the dark when you blip the fob?

That sounds familiar... Both cars have seatbelt scars... Trying slowly to teach the boys to check before they slam the door...

Not that I've found yet. First one to find out please advise!

Looks like I may have temp guage problem.Took the car out to my sons cricket, lovely drive through the Essex villages, and then stopped on the way back at a country pub for an hour.As soon as I started up I noticed the guage go close to red, but not any higher, just hovering at edge of red. Fortunatly I wasn't too far from home, but I noticed that the guage hasn't gone to zero when switched it off, it remains at 50% (or effectively normal temp). I'd imagine this explains why it went up so high I'd imagine,as it maybe started from a higher point orignally?

Yeah - Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. I left the car for a few hours and later returned and turned the ignition a few times on/off and thankfully that seemed to work and reset the dial. Not had an issue since (fingers crossed)!

Hopefully by the time you read this yours will be fine again.

The only way to get the headlights to come on with the key fob is to press the unlock button twice quite quickly.

Thanks for your kind words about the car everybody. Temp' gauge did indeed correct itself on it's own eventually ( thanks lovecrumb) and ta for the tip about the headlights coming on with a double blip T10YYY.(Do I assume that's with the headlights set to Auto?)

Plenty more miles today in the heat, and no prob from the temp guage .Has another odd one instead, was sitting in traffic, went to pull away and EFB( or EPB?) flashed up and the park brake wouldn't release.I turned the ignition off and on again, and all was cleared and O.K!

I agree, it's unsettling when you buy a car and it does things you don't expect.......

Our Massa was generally very reliable but during a torrential downpour suggested the alternator was knackered by flashing the battery warning light constantly.....until it dried out.....and the lights steamed up......

Our Alfa has been so reliable over 30000miles it's ridiculous, but it has a tendency to flash airbag lights, suggest bulbs have blown etc. from time to time and then fix itself......usually just about the time it's due for a service

Italian personality, and part of the ownership experience.

Cheers Wattie
