From the perspective of having worked at Volvo for years I Agree with you Jluis.
MAF is doing a great job of utterly detonating the brake disc stupidity. I ask you £500 a pair of discs for a 3200?
So what happens?
People run about on tired old discs ... not safe, not sensible, so well done SportsMaserati and Mark for providing a supply of good new affordable SAFETY devices.

What other bits of Maserati 4200 or 3200 are ridiculously expensive and need regular replacement?

The CambioCorsa F1 clutch, but that is in hand and will be the next item to roll out of the SM stable.

The clutch will be my next job on my car. I think it was 50%when I bought her after my road trip will prob be looking at replacing.

EBC reds...been discussed to death, ironic really as "Death" was what was nearly involved running EBC reds.

Ill be going EBC yellow or Ferodo

You might well have using the 'old' EBC reds. The new compound is light years ahead of the 'old' compound as is the 'new' yellow compound. I use yellows on my spyder and have had no issues except for a bit of fade whilst 'tearing it up' through the Alps but I think any pads would have faded after that!

My clutch is just waiting to happen , so hurry up with that one matt , question would some fitting a third party clutch not supply by the garage , could there be a issue if there was a problem afterwards like who's going to cover the cost .

Well, therein lies the issue but it will be no worse than the OEM clutch.

Just one more buyer needed before we are able to push the button on this order.

I'm going to ask for payment from everyone very soon!

Maybe if maserati sees this thread they can have an idea on how much money they potentialy loose with their silly consumables pricing

Well after the way Maserati Spa treated us at the Centenary, not only ignoring us, but systematically attempting to cancel our pre arranged plans, I could not give a toss about them, they have had it coming for a while!

Has an email been sent to all the Maserati specialists, such as Emblem, McGrath, Autoshield, Shiltech etc? Maybe they'll want some sets as well, to be able to offer their clients the choice of originals (at circa £1k) or these ones (at remarkably less).

And possibly a long shot, but does anyone know if they would they fit a QP mk IV?

This will be rolled out next stage, once the people who count have their discs. What we don't want is companies making a profit out of the parts as we are not.

I am sure we can sort something out though but I suspect the main dealers will be ordered not to fit them.

The QP is different I am afraid but we are planning to roll out QP and GT 4.2 and 4.7 discs on a similar basis in the early part of next year.

Full text and tech details now also on the French forum - same deal, just asking for a list of interested parties. Didier and Barth very keen on the idea...

Woo I think selling to the specialists is really dangerous.
MAF does this for the forum and not for specialists to make vast profit!
