That's sort of my thinking too but I'm sure there's a few coming from South to North so they'll be on the other side. It's not clear on that picture but you can get from one side to the other. I thought it would be best just to make a decision and all go to the same one.

I think the northbound services are on the same side of the motorway as Silverstone so I assumed there. Is that good enough logic to persuade you all?

When we have given passenger rides at Silverstone in our race car (Ginetta G50) and been asked if we can take kids out the rule that has been applied is that so long as they are big enough to be safely secured in the car then there isn't a problem. So as suggested above if she is safely secured in the car and you say she is old enough I am guessing you would have a good chance of getting away with it.

I guess it depends whether the services are to the North or South of the Silverstone turn-off.

Hi Robert, the only roadworks south of Loughborough are at the M6 junction and only last for the junction as they build the new bridge. I got through without any delay, so assuming there's not much north of Loughborough, you should be fine. Once on the A43 be ready to slow down for the two roundabouts prior to the Silverstone turnoff. The traffic slows to a halt, but other than that, you should be fine. When in the grounds and going for the tunnel to get infield, crawling pace, otherwise you'll scrape the undercarriage. Look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

That's the problem Miles - there's the small matter of 27 continuous miles of roadworks on the M1 just south of Sheffield, all at 50mph, so rather a lot north of Loughborough!

I arrived at Silverstone this morning at 8.45am to find the queue to get in already ridiculously long. That being the case, please don't wait for me at junction 15a tomorrow. I won't be there as I will be parked in carpark 7 by that time. Sorry to miss the convoy but I hate queuing. Must be the Australian in me hehe.
