Lesson learnt for next time...must try harder!! :hammer:
I was no-where-near the red line for any of my runs,
mind you, I kept getting the 'bonnet open' warning light flash up on the dash,
so will have to strap that down properly I guess :D
If I'd have had that many young ladies waiting to get in my car I'd have been in no rush round the track either!

Ahh that explains it! Should have seen the look on my face as you pulled away, the only other things getting away were the GTRs! It sounded fantastic as well at high revs. Guess you've got an extra 15 -20 bhp judging by the way you pulled away.

Possibly a bit more than that; a convertible with the roof and windows down is much 'draggier' than the coupe and the faster you go the greater the drag difference (IIRC, double the speed, square the drag). So, to overcome that and still pull away requires more and more power. I've had 175 indicated (with the roof down) on TomTom GPS and it's 'booked' Vmax is 176. It's all good fun.

Good point and it was pulling away up to about 130 - 140. OK I've bitten - where did the tune come from??

DMS. Although the 'before' dyno figures showed it to be a particularly healthy specimen, the tune 'only' gave me another 23bhp. I won't quote the dyno figures as they are pretty meaningless but I reckon mine is around 440 bhp. It certainly gives a good account of itself against Astons (including the DBS), the odd Ferrari and Porsche and I've always got the roof down as well.

Might have to go investigate. The detune on these engines means theres plenty left in the mechanicals.

Personally I would start with sports cats and get the exhaust sorted first. That lets it breath better and any 'tune' will benefit from that. We can now get rear boxes modified so the car looks standard but sounds a lot better and keeps the valves. If you need any gen pm me and I will get back to you.

I'll have to dig through the forum and find out what exhaust is fitted, I've looked it up several times but keep forgetting.
