Yep, although the "change" hasn't happened over the last two years, more like 15. They didn't want to slacken off the service intervals until the last 5 years due to a) lack of empirical knowledge of what the improvements actually meant and most importantly b) dealers not wanting to loose half of a revenue stream. Only when some manufacturers broke ranks did the rest get forced to over-ride the dealers.Yah right!

wise move.Improved oils could be a contributory factor, but I'm still not keen on leaving oil in a standing car for too long..!!
