Would I be correct in saying these Quattroporte lights do not fit 2009 cars properly. (different shape)?

I can see you have now sold them but I am just checking as this is a job I was going to do on my 2009 Quattroporte...........if I understand correctly from a thread on Maserati Life isn't the bottom of the rear light a different curvature?

Hi Alex, found the thread...................

http://www.maseratilife.com/forums/quattroporte/16818-led-tail-lights-pics-3.html

See post 41 .....................
Here are the pics to compare the pre and post.
As you can see, the LED's stick out a bit on the bottom - can't really notice it though unless you're up really close. Whether this bothers you or not is a matter of personal preference; personally I would rather take the LED looks over the slight mis-fit.

The poster also puts up pictures........here are two of them attached.

Do you know if the pictures are right or wrong as poster says you must change rear bumper for it to align correctly.
Really want to know this as it is a conversion I would like to do
Phil

We have a new restyled rear bumper. But it's very difficult to see the difference and projection

Hi Alex,
To be honest it looks like what it is.......a heath robinson affair, with gaps and (for want of better words, misaligned parts). Do you know how much the rear bumper is? I believe it is over a grand and the cost of that plus the LED rear lights is more than I want to spend on the conversion. This is the brick wall I came up against before. When I first read you sale I thought you had found something I didn't know about.

Rear bumper cost £850, rear lights £800, total £1650. I think it's normal price for all cars restyling not only for Maserati but for MB, or BMW. The price is similar if buy original parts.

So why not buy original parts that fit..??

LED's on the rear of a car, I'm sure I have seen one somewhere, but can't for the life of me remember where..??
