I used the second key for the first time and it not work for the opening and closing code and the antifreeze, while the mechanical part (handles and ignition ) works.
It's new, it has never been used and the batteries are charged.
Do you know why?
What can I do ?
Many thanks.

Ok this might work.

1) Get close to the car. Press the remote lock button twice quickly. That might fix it. if not....

2) Get the key that works. Lock and unlock the car over and over again until you get a different beep. Normally 10-20 cycles. The LED on the dash will flash constantly as well. While the LED is flashing the alarm / central locking is in learning mode. Press the button on the key that's not working, then press the button on the key that is working. Hopefully you;ee have two keys working.

If not then I suspect it's off to a specialist for you :(

No. It's how you program a new key to the alarm and central locking. Nothing to do with the immobiliser. That needs proper kit

Sorry to hijack, but is there anyway of getting a rubber for the top button on my GS key? Mine is split, and would like to replace it. Or a totally new casing with rubber, that i an transfer everything across to?

Find them on Ebay or from MDs they are pricey for just a bit of rubber.

I still have my spares from Frank's group by some years back.

Made the newb mistake of not doing a proper search, but thankyou for the reply, and restraint of not nailing me for searching first. Lol
