Just spotted this on ebay, one of 104 RHD Montreals built, anyone feeling brave....

It's only ten miles from me, good job I've got nowhere to put it ;)

As a basket case and a bit of an unknown quantity that price is rather inflated i feel , personally i would want to see more wiggle room , maybe around the 18-22 mark would give a bit more metal to cover the unforseens

The thing I keep hearing about these is; nice to look at, not very good to drive, sweet engine….

Has anyone driven one?

It’s still the 105 platform underneath…..

Back in the day I never fancied one that much, other than the V8 engine I thought the design a bit cluttered. I went for this instead, although I should have painted it black as in the Italian Job.
That is such a sexy shape.

I also have the hots for the earlier Fiat 2300S Abarth Coupe; so elegant.

They say never take on someone else’s part resto project.

I’ve just taken on my second and I whole heartedly agree with this statement.
Agreed. Tempting as it may well be, there’s usually a valid, undisclosed reason they’ve aborted the project. I’ve learned the hard way losing on resto projects.

Montreals are spica injection and it can be a pain although there are a few who who know the tricks these days. They sound lovely when on song even better if you dump the injection and fit quad twin chokes, look up Chris Slade's car. They drive a bit like a 105 on spongy suspension, it was never tuned properly in the day but once again can be sorted with work but even then they will never be as light and checkable as a 105 Coupe.

If you want stunning looks and a lovely sound go for it but have a big war chest Montreal parts are hard to find and expensive

Some inspiration spotted at Salon Prive last week, next to something thematically similar. Anyone for Orangina?
