What oh why cant music legends like Dianna Ross and Paul McCartney retire gracefully.
Had to keep turning off the Glastonbury coverage off as they murder their own songs.
Its like a bad karaoke night at my local.
Surely to God they have enough of that !'Money'?

Surely to God they have enough of that !
Still sounded $hite though<shrug>
I thought that as I posted. And I am probably wide of the mark. It's a demonstrable fact that money is not a motivator once you have 'enough'. Enough money is different for everyone depending on their wants and needs. There's probably a base level below which it's 'difficult' to live a 'good' life but looking at some of these off griders, the base is probably much lower for some than one might expect.
Annnyyyyway. Some years back I did one of (several) those personality tests. This one, however, was more aimed at digging into what actually made me happy. Turned out I was beyond the point of 'enough' and well into other motivating factors. Primarily in my case, 'respect'
So perhaps not money, but some combination of adulation, respect, feeling wanted, empowerment etc etc

Was that really Elton John? I know it looked like Elton John. Perhaps with a lot of make-up on.Try listening to the original without hearing the new lyrics:
Still sounded $hite though
Apparently the whole spectrum of emotions that appreciative audiences demonstrate is hard to turn your back on.
Really? Do tell.Oh yes. Listening to Macca now. Dear oh dear.
I absolutely understand this.

Really? Do tell.
Possibly Elton doing Vic Reeves doing Paul Shane. Figuratively speaking of course. Was that really Elton John? I know it looked like Elton John. Perhaps with a lot of make-up on.
I had to do a double take during the first few bars of the song, while I was listening to the singer
and reading the spoof lyrics. I thought that when I looked up, it'd be Ricky Gervais or some other
non-entity doing a caricature. However, I'm guessing it wasn't.
Perhaps he couldn't sing, due to giving too much he@d the night before.
I don’t disagree, it was fantastic overall and wonderful to see so many people there.I’ve LOVED watching Glastonbury - great to see people having fun again. Makes me happy to see people so happy!!
Adulation and a buzz. Like a crack hit for them. Simple really!'Money'?
