Refreshing a dark interior

I am thinking about refreshing the inside of my GS which presently is black and black with a hint of black.

Does anyone have a similar trimmed car, but with grey carpets that they could share a photo of; also would this help to lift the car a little and help to make the leather stand out a bit more... or look naff?

Get the seat and dash pipping retrimmed in white. That'll make them stand out. Mine have red, but I do have a red car.

Good idea, but that's going to cost far more than I wish to spend, where as a carpet from a scrapper...

Wow don't the lighter carpets change the tone I really like that very nice indeed.
Cheers Phil....That means a lot to me. To match it up more, I had the roof lining matched up with the same grey in Alcantara. Really softened the interior and will get around to doing the top of the dash.

BTW, the Manta is looking great pal! I remember back in the 80's my dad had a choice of 2 company cars, a Manta like yours or a Volvo 343. Guess what he went for?........Doh!

I have a very similar interior (black, black and more black).
Does anyone know how the piping in dashboard is fitted? Is it trimmed in, or potentially replaceable?
Always thought it’d look good with a subtle red element perhaps, similar to the 3200 AC I think.

The grey carpet and head lining would never have been something I’d consider, but seeing the photos it really makes a difference, great work!

I've just trimmed parts of my dash in alcantara (will post some pics at some point). Unfortunately the piping is stapled on, and requires complete dash removal and disassembly to change.
