Now that is a bargain! I lI've the red and even the interior.

If you hate the carpet, David Askew could sell you a used black one for not alot of money and even take your red one in part exchange.

If the rest of the car stacks up someone should buy that!

Matt, they've got 3 red one's for sale, all low miles, all below £26k. It happens time and time again with red cars, everyone says what great value they are but no one ever buys them. My thought as a trade buyer nowadays is still the same; I trust my own judgement on colours. If I bought a red one, it would stick around. Got offered a great '07 LE in Verdi Green yesterday, bargain, why?? It's green!! Red, green, and to a certain extent, silver, just don't float many bloke's boats.

Wise words Dicky. Only worth fighting the market if the price is really good.

My 4200 was red and I loved it but the dealer put me off a red GTS.

With the Granturismo are the unpopular colours the same?

I assume yours is silver. Personally, I like silver, I owned a silver GS of my own but it took forever to sell and I practically gave it away. I'm certainly not bashing them, just saying they're not that easy to sell. Nowhere near as bad as red or anything approaching green but not as attractive to purchasers as black, grey blue etc.

Dicky, is that the one in Bradford? I saw that a couple of days back and wondered if it was the one a SM member bought not long ago. There's few of them about in green.

Did you get any pics of it? The only other one I thought it might be, and if it is, I suspect its an absolute GEM, is the one thats seen at owners events. Its not actually Verdi Goodwood, its slightly different, but it a beaut! Plate is something like XIB xxxx.

Personally, I think green on a GS is very classy.

Woody, it was up for sale in Bradford. Now gone, I know where if anyone wants it. It is avorio interior, I thought there were only two, the one on PH with the grey interior and this one with cream. Sound like a good car, main dealer history, new clutch, but if I bought it and had no interest I'd be kicking myself.

Bob, I'm not the one to ask on GT's really. I'm sticking to 3200, 4200, GS and QP. I know plenty about them. I am looking for a GT(S) but nothing's popped up yet. Again, I'd be looking at black, white, greys and blue again really. Just my opinion though, following on from what I know about the generation prior to the new ones.

Hi Dicky,
Yes mine is Grigio Touring and not knocking other colours, I think it looks well. There's limited choice on the AC anyway.

Cheers

Hodroyd,

As I've said, I think it goes well on a GS, just not the most popular of colours.

I agree with you completely on colour in terms of what moves and what does not. Silver was obviously very popular in 2002 but times and tastes change.

Nah, there's more than that....but not many more! I think there's the 2005 one with the grey, then three 2007's.

Dicky, if that was definately Avorio, you've missed out on a peach! I think thats the Verde Mexico car, unique colour no only in the UK but actually globally, apparently.

It's unique for a reason though Woody. I'm going to bide my time and wait for one in one of my preferred colour combinations.

I would buy a red GS...In fact the two colours that would be top of my list on a GS would be red and yellow...So I am one of the few I suppose......Mate I really love the red carpets as it breaks up the black......I agree with you that if it get the thumbs up from an inspection someone could have a cheap 2006 GS with that one....

I did buy a red one. Price was right, the red just grabbed me and still does and the car checked out. As for slower to sell - I am hoping to enjoy a few miles and then worry about anybody wanting it later down the line. Probably taking the view that it's a keeper.

I am also of the view that they are all fairly rare beasts and over time will be worth holding onto, regardless of colour.

While we're on yet another discussion on colours, what do we think of dolomite quartz(unsure if that's an official Maserati colour). There's a well-priced Spyder with a nice interior on eBay at the moment. I can't get the link to work but if you search Maserati Spyder, it's there, I'm undecided but it's different.
