Recommendations on best paint shop (Surrey ish)

Hi all,

I'm after recommendations for where I ought to consider taking my car to fix a spot of paintwork

The issue I have is that I took my car to Paintshield today to get two bits of the paint protection film replaced. Unfortunately, one of them wasn't keen on being removed, and there's now roughly a 1 inch spot in the corner where the lacquer has come off the paintwork.

The damage to the film was entirely my own fault, and Paintshield did a great job at minimising the damage to the paintwork, so absolutely no criticism implied of them. However, whilst the damage is not massively noticeable during normal daylight, it is if you know where to look, and I'd like to get it fixed.

I've read in some other threads that Dick Lovett have a great spray shop, but would be interested in other recommendations...

Hi, neither of these are quite in Surrey, but not too far away, and I have had good work done by both:

Ian Taylor repaired/resprayed the dodgy front wheel arches on my 156 GTA and did a great job at a very fair price

Automotive Repair Systems do mobile smart repairs , but also have a big site near Downe in Kent where they can take on all kinds of work - they fixed a really nasty bumper scuff on my old RS6 and offer very good VFM.

Try MGS Coachworks in Purley, Mike Spenceley is a master trained painter sprayer, did his early days with Astons, he did a lot of work on my previous Alfa Duetto, I live in Cheshire but always took it down to him for paintwork

JonW, you could try SL Restoration in Crawley who come highly recommended.
Have a look at their website. Very impressive setup.

I had my 4200 resprayed by vrc coachworks in waterlooville if the ish stretches that far, I'd recommend Phil without hesitation

It went in looking a bit sorry and came out better than a new car
