Recommendation for alloys refurb.

For those living in and around the East Midlands I can recommend an excellent alloy wheel repairer. I've just had mine done [one at a time!] by 'Alloy Wheel Repairs' in Melton Mowbray. Tyres were removed/refitted with new valves and balancing as part of the service. Each wheel was stripped, welded where needed, sprayed and oven-baked to perfection. Depending on the original condition, reckon on about £80 per wheel. This is no 'flash over' with silver paint!
Ring Kevin on 01664 483333 if you're interested.

Good post John , if its worth doing its worth doing properly , its been my experience thats its nigh impossible to get wheel refurb companies to weld alloy wheels when small splits or hairline cracks appear , and they do quite often whith these wheels , believe me , the low profile tyres dont help but i have a guy in Newport pagnell who works for a well known Supecar manufacturer that is a master at welding alloys , if anyone needs his services be sure to pm me its around £20 per wheel so saves a fortune buying new and once painted you can never tell .

Matt from Paint Worx (Burntwood, next to GT Autos) does a god job.

About £50 a wheel, which includes the full wheel and baked aswell.

The ease at which one can kerb a wheel on a Maserati has to be one of the most annoying things in owning one of these supercars.

Even with the diiped wing mirrors accidents will and do happen.

In the first week of ownership of my Gransport I managed to kerb two wheels which I got repaired by main dealer, and whilst the repair was perfect, it set me back a staggering £150 per wheel

Driving around London it is inevevitable the the odd scratch and chip will happen to the wheels and I am now going to restrict repairing until they get to the point of being unsightly.
