Hi all,

As I have the carbon fiber interior, I was thinking about adding a carbon fiber rear spoiler on my 4200.
I came across these two:

Germany - https://gs-exclusive.com/en/maserati-4200-evo
Total price incl. VAT and shipping to The Netherlands --> EUR 1707

USA - https://directcartoys.com/maserati/gransport.html
Total price incl. VAT and shipping to The Netherlands --> $750 (estimated, not sure what the import taxes will be though)

The price difference between the two is immense, and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with either one of them or know other manufacturers (preferably in Europe) that produces / sells them?

Thanks in advance!

There was a member on here about 10-years ago that made a batch of CF parts for these, unfortunately it generally didn't end too well, they needed substantial refinishing to be acceptable. I opted for the GF version in the group buy, these were easier to fettle. I actually never fitted mine to the 4200 and in the end sold it on to another member.

I'm also in contact with Adnan, but the carbon version of the GS seems no longer available. We're now looking into the 'plastic' option and paint it in the color of the car, or have a carbon dip. But am open for other options. Anyone that knows a carbon GS spoiler for sale, please do let me know ;-)

That long ago? Probably.
After refinishing the fit and finish was good, still stuck onto the boot lid of mine, yes stuck, ground off off the studs.

I would buy a normal one and hydrodip it in carbon rather than paying $750!

Back to Googling.....
I tend to agree with you regards the look of wrapped or dipped items to appear as carbon….I wonder if you have given any thought to the process of carbon skinning..?
It’s a bit of a lottery finding a good and skilled technician but people do it, and if
if done well, it is indistinguishable from a carbon part. As I understand it, the Maserati OEM gurney flap is made this way, in fact…!

Hello,
you can try here https://ecpsgroup.com/
If they don't have it in stock they can make in in any carbon colour or wave you like.

I received the spoiler today and I think it looks fantastic. I can recommend buying it in the US. Lots of emails with process of the creation of the spoiler, very responsive via email and much cheaper then anywhere else.
