The Périphérique is a nightmare at anytime. If you've negotiated it unscathed on a Friday afternoon think yourself lucky.

That road is great fun! After joining in the fun and f*cking up frenchies for half an hour some CESM got so wound up he ended up hanging out of his car window throwing stuff at us. Oh, how we laughed! Just stopping them pushing in was fun but forcing them up slip roads as they tried to undertake was very rewarding, the journey just flew by. If there's one thing you can say about the french; they are w4nkers. :D

I'd love to find the fecker that decided that the MiTo would make a good seat and has left a b*m print in the bonnet. It should be easy for a dent man to get out but I'd really like to know what they were thinking when they decided to sit there. What gives them the right to abuse other people's property like that? I guess living two doors down from the village pub something like this was bound to happen eventually.

Dashcam with motion detection is now ordered and should arrive tomorrow.

Sorry to read. You may need to to adjust the detection sensitivity just so - we've found too high and the camera's internal battery won't last the night. That's on a cul-de-sac.

Wan*ers !!
Succinct. I like that

Cash machines.

Why can't you take out more than £300 a day from them? banks in the high streets are closing as no-one uses them any more, so surely you should be able to take more out of the machine?

Protecting themselves I suppose. If a card gets nicked and the money gets taken illegally, the bank have to foot the bill so I guess they are limiting their risk?

I can see the logic. But I don't see why if you need more than that, you can text the bank of something and they give you an additional pin to put in the machine to enable you to get more.

I have to do that for my online banking where I'm paying out god know how much!

Can you not take it out in multiple transaction?

The tax system hates cash, they cant monitor it and thus tax it. There in lies your reason.

Personal bank transfer? My limit on with Nationwide was £10k in one transition, when I bought the Strad, I just did that 6 times and it worked fine. (5 times if the wife is reading this!)

Some banks allow £500 but still not a lot.

£300 a day!

Transferred the £100 to the missus and she's taking it out.

Not sure on the limit on transfers, when I bought Alex's car I transferred it from my business account as there's no limit.

Security is part of the issue but so is the amount the machines hold, if you came and tried to take out £10k you would soon clear the machine

Would think the vast majority of high street bank's customers rarely need their existing cash limit let alone more. Card/online purchasing, etc. instead.
