Range Rover advice

On one hand it’s a lot of money for a Range Rover on 90k miles.
On the other, the specification is very rare, if not unique, for a British Range Rover (the majority being various shades of boring monochrome inside and outside). And it’s had a load of work done…
That interior is absolutely amazing and I would have that as it just looks Cool.
All that work mechanically and cosmetically must have cost half the asking price at least.

I think they only built about a dozen of the Holland and Holland cars. Unfortunately the ones I have seen come up for sale recently have had the shooting box removed from the boot (and presumably fitted to other cars).

I wonder whether it’s actually useful or just for swinging your knob? Is it me or does it look like those guns won’t go in unless they’re broken?

This is the weirdest thread on here. People freak out about a Maserati clutch that might one day cost them money, or variators that don't really do much but drool over Land Rover products which are utter rubbish. You'd be better spending a couple of grand at a dominatrix than pouring it into the brand with the worst build quality known to man.

I've owned 2 range rovers, one of them tried to kill me (really, I needed 3 stiches when the rear view mirrow fell off and split my eye open) and the 2nd one drove like a boat and cost a grand every 3 months or so for something or another.

Masochists, the lot of you.
My 4.2 SC hasn't let me down once in the 18 months I've owned it

It does suck fuel in light a lightning jet though

I wonder if the 4.4 TDV8 I'm picking up next week will be as reliable

Big day tomorrow, TDV8 collection, sold the 4.2SC
TDV8 straight in for MOT

It's a 2011 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography, I'm really looking forward to this one, hopefully I'll still feel the same in 24 hours :D

Both theirs are 3.6 TDV8s. I have enjoyed both. I did 80k miles with no issues in the 4.4. It was very smooth and un diesel like in many ways. Averaged about 26mpg I think. The 3.6 feels more natural and with a mild remap is as quick as the 4.4 and a bit thirstier (possibly due to 6 speed rather than 8 speed ZF) but always a bit rougher. Turbos failed at 170k miles so was sold for spares and repairs. Great motorway and A road cruisers. Sadly nowhere near as well put together or as devastatingly quick across country as the TDV8 Porsche that replaced them. It doesn't waft as well but in every other way it is superior for on road use.

Let it go cheap, insurance wouldn't let me insure an extra Range Rover on the same policy, I think there was a small explosion when she typed the request into the computer , I heard Jesus and the sound of a fire extinguisher.

I didn't want it hanging around so SORN it last night to save paying for another months tax and transferred the insurance, I will be genuinely sorry to see it go

All I hear on the forums is RR insurance increasing by 3X but I insured the 4.2SC for £310, the 4.4TDV8 is £110 extra until the end of September
