Random 'Park Off' warning

Occasionally, I get the 'Park Off' warning coming up on the dash whilst driving. It always happens a few minutes after start up and the EPB seems to be working. Thinking about it, it generally comes on the day after I've driven for a while.

I've checked the battery connections and they are all tight and the battery is only a couple of years old and largely kept on a trickle charge when it's left for a while. I've not yet done a reset. I always leave the car in 'Park Off' when it's in the garage.

Any ideas?

The reference to the terminals all being on properly was for your benefit!

I get this when I use PARK OFF. Like you, it doesn't come on immediately but about a mile down the road. I put it down to the battery conditioner interfering with something when it's in PARK OFF mode. A quick restart and it goes away.

I had the same error. Turned out that the parking brake shoes were not engaging fully.
Have them checked and adjusted and I bet it’ll go away.
