I assume you mean on the GTS MCS? I don't know but they are prone to wearing, do you have replacements ready to fit?

Well actually they are in already. They got replaced via warranty.
I just want to take them out to protect them so they don't wear again.
Sorry. 2 screws where exactly? How does the shroud come off?
Yes in a MC GTS.
how will you protect them?
I bought a leather F1 box control from Maserati for around 120 and got Marios's to fit it for next to nothing. He swapped the buttons out into my carbon box. Just two screws in the bottom apparently.
Best upgrade I have done in terms of VFM in my opinion.
Got some clear protective wrap they use on the car externally.
Just need to understand how to get the buttons out to try it!
I doubt you'll be able to take the buttons apart to just cover the cap. I'd carefully measure the diameter, then cut a circle of film a couple of 10ths smaller in diameter. Clean very well with meths or similar and then apply.
*Or* cut it a bit larger and cut in situ with an x-acto or similar.

So if I can take off the covering shroud
If by 'shroud' you mean the bit you press with the symbols on it, I doubt you will be able to remove it. Could be wrong though....
Get a (cheap) breaker set and see if you can take them apart....

You can definitely take them out - I got mine exchanged from a standard F1 box control to my carbon one.
I spoke to a couple of garages on the phone and they said it was easy - just two screws on the bottom after taking out the box itself.
Apologies - I dont know how to take the box out - or where the screws actually are. But it took less than half an hour and the buttons can definitely be removed.
I think we're talking at cross purposes. What I *think* Hoyin is meaning is the bit you press, which I do not think can easily be removed to be protected.
I could very well be wrong, though
