No Average and Mean (Arithmetic) are synonyms

From the same sources as there are three types of lies -- lies, d4mn lies, and statistics

Great question, and I thought the Jacksons were a great shout

I'm wondering whether it's a band that had three siblings (like the Corrs) who later all released solo stuff, or whether it's thee solo artists that never performed together...

I was listening to Radio 4 on the way home and the obit programme had Peter Sarstedt who died recently, and in the programme they mentioned his brothers Eden Cain and Robin Sarstedt who also had hits, so I'm guessing them.

We have a winner, it was the three Sarstedt brothers

Richard Sarstedt under the name of Eden Kane - No 1 Well I Ask You 1961
Peter Sarstedt - No1 Where Do You Go To (My Lovely)? 1970
Clive Sarstedt under the name Robin Sarstedt - No 3 My Resistance Is Low 1976

Looks like it is over to you

In honour of Radio 4, who supplied me with the knowledge of the answer, who composed the BBC Radio 4 UK Theme which stopped being broadcast in 2006?

I have no idea so will guess at the Osmonds or the Nolan sisters.

I was surprised when I found out about the Sarstedt brother, curtesy of Radio 2, and thought surely the Osmonds - Donny & Jimmy both had No 1s and I thought Marie had a hit with Paper Roses which I was surprised to find was a US hit but only got to 46 in the UK charts.
