QPV Cabin Bleep When Come to a Stop?

Hi all.
I've not owned my QPV for long, and I'm trying to sort out all the niggles!
When I'm driving and I come to a stop, there is a constant high-pitched bleep in the cabin? And when i accelerate it stops. I don't think it's proximity related, because I'm sure it bleeps even if a car isn't in front/behind me (the bleep is a higher pitch than my reverse parking sensors too). The issue might be related to the rain (didn't occur in dry weather?). Does anybody know what it could be?
Thanks!

Interesting. I do have kids seats in the back (not always with kids in them!). Will try this. Thanks....

Not saying it is this but it’s a quick way to dismiss it

If the kids seats are on the back seat and empty/seatbelt not connected when you brake they weight forward and trigger the seat weighted sensor

Hmm it isn't the seat belts. Well....I plugged them all in and it was still bleeping (a constant bleep).

On the odd occasion I come to a stop, it might not bleep. Or, the volume of the bleep won't be as loud (almost like it's a loose connection somewhere).

I also noted (if relevant) when I turned the volume up on my Bose, that the volume of the bleep also went up!

Is the parking sensor light on the button to the right of the steering wheel?

That's another strange one I thought. My car has front and reverse sensors on the bumper, but that button (if its the one I think you mean) is blanked out! I only have fuel, headrest and boot buttons. (The car isn't with me at mo - getting some interior repairs done...).

Has it had after market sensors fitted ? Are you getting beeps when you reverse up to a wall or car or drive into a parking spot.

Could be a pita to find if its an after market system.

Ha. No aftermarket stuff. I dont drive the car enough to build up a profile of what causes it! I'll do more testing this weekend and update this post....

Just on the 'aftermarket' topic.... My car does NOT have the PDC button next to the fuel/boot/headrest buttons (blank button instead). But it DOES have working rear sensors, and visible (but not working) front sensors.

Do QPs that don't have the PDC button still have front 'placeholder' parking sensor points? (trying to work out if my front non-working sensors are aftermarket jobs causing this bleep).

And why doesn't my car have the PDC button if it has rear sensors? Would a PDC button work if i bought a new strip of buttons with the PDC button?

Is the PDC button not just for the front ones to stop them annoying the he'll out of you welhen in queuing traffic?

Rear ones only work when you select R.

Sounds logical to me!

Is there an easy way to check if my car has faulty aftermarket front sensors connected (causing this issue)? Without taking the front bumper off? I'm now suspecting this is a moisture issue in an aftermarket front sensor. Situation feels similar to this: https://www.maseratilife.com/threads/retrofit-front-park-assist.10593/post-92361

I drove out in it the other day with no issues though (it was dry at the time).

You could try the wd40 trick. If you suspect it is moisture in the front sensors. Spray each one with WD40. Wipe any excess off the sensors and the bumper.

If its a flakey sensor then wd40 should cure it for a few months possibly longer. You can repeat as required but if it is a flakey sensor it will eventually fail.

If that does fix it. When it eventually comes back spray the Wd40 on one sensor at a time and test in between each one and you should be able to establish which sensor it is.

I'll give this a try, thanks! It might take a while but I'll report back when I know more.

If you have the ignition on and listen to the sensor you should hear it clicking rapidly... well only if you have good hearing and have your ear to it.

Put your finger on it. You can certainly feel them working. Not sure what triggers the front sensors on the QPV. Mine seem to be on all the time, but I have to assume it's speed limited.
