We are selling our 2008 4.2 QP V. It is the ZF auto, in metallic blue with grey interior, the centre console is wood. It has a sunroof, paddles and a Bose stereo.

It was a one owner car when we bought it in 2012. It now has 140k miles. We have done many long trips into Europe (including to nine countries the summer before last, where it used no oil) and a 140 mile commute once a week in it, so lots of long trips. We have stacks of bills for this car, we have always had it looked after by specialists and often serviced more frequently than the factory schedule. At the last service the subframe was said to be good. We have seven Italian cars and we're pretty keen! I'll list the history.

The reg is EU08JBY if you want to look up the MOT history.

At present the snags are that the front brakes could do with a skim (the front and rear discs are not that old), the stereo sometimes doesn't output sound, one parking sensor at the rear is erratic and the headliner at the back is sagging. It sits on a set of Michelin Pilots and the wheels were re-done recently.

I can write more and will flesh out the details when I have a moment, as well as post some pictures. I'd be happy with £5k or thereabouts for it with a new MOT (I have not yet put it in for an MOT, and the present one has only a couple of weeks left) or happy to negotiate if someone wants to take it and arrange that themselves and factor that in.

We've really loved owning this car and hung on to it for so long because it seemed difficult to replace with something better. It would be good if someone could enjoy it.

Edited to add info on the history Sunday 31st March (figures are rounded)

The car also has a radar detector which was there when I bought it.

April 2017 MOT 95k miles
June 2017 Trident Cars 95k miles service, front discs and pads tie rods, track rod ends etc £2750
Nov 2017 the car was hit by a passing driver when parked. Damage was done to the rear suspension and wheelarch. I did not want the car repaired by a regular bodyshop and we were still attached to the car, so the third party insurers paid me and I arranged repairs. Trident billed £9,500 plus I paid some additional amounts. Alignment was checked on a jig etc. The car became a CAT N
April 2018 102k miles Trident Cars service £600
June 2018 rear tail light £250
Camskill Sept 2018 another Michelin. I'm not going to write any more Camskill entries, we've bought Michelins from them all the way through! It has been properly aligned a few times, incidentally.
April 2019 MOT 102k
May 2019 Trident Cars 111k service ball joints, alignment etc £3,250

Mar 2021 MOT 119k
May 2022 Grimaldi 124k service and rear spring replacements £2050
Sept 2022 Grimaldi variator work circa £1650
April 2022 MOT 124k
April 2023 MOT 133k
April 2023 Grimaldi fit rear discs and pads and change radio amp and air pump 133k miles, £1150.
I supplied the discs and pads in addition.
In addition there are probably quite a number of small items I don't have receipts for.

Looking back over the list the front discs were replaced a while ago so probably a change rather than a skim is due. They are now not that expensive from Eurospares.

I'll add some photos when I get time, it needs a good wash!

I would like to highlight the car was recorded as Cat N back in 2017.

We are in Essex

NB I edited this Monday 1st April because I believe it is a Cat N, not S as I previously stated.

Looks like you got through 18 tyres in 60k miles. Good info for prospective QP V owners to know - budget on a set of tyres every 12k miles approx.

Wow this really is a very tempting proposition with all that history even being a Cat S.
I wonder if I could smuggle it into France ???
I’m not great at keeping up with all of your posts, but does this mean Mrs French is going to lose her red mini? I hope you get her approval before you flip it!

No she won't lose it as she's taken a fancy to it so I'm going to sell the Fiat 500 twinair 105 which has been a good car for 3 years but this old Mini is a bit of Fun for peanuts.

Strangely we saw another blue QP yesterday around Shenfield, it is notable how infrequently they are spotted
