Running 20" Sport wheels on my QPV with the Sport option.

Anyone got any advice on what tyre pressures I should be running ? My old CLS55 which was probably a lighter car, was running the same profile tyres with pressures up near 40psi.

Tyre sizes are 295 30 20 rear and 245 35 20 fronts.

Cheers

In Italy they run them at 2 bar allround to reduce wheel damage from pot holes etc plus it is a more complient ride without the 'jiggle' on less than perfect roads.

if it is absolute handling you want then 2.2 and 2.4 rear front setup is better but mind the potholes because the standard Sport GT wheels are quite soft and buckle on the inside edge quite easily.

GranTurismo is 2.2 bar (32 psi) on all 4 corners. The 4200 handbook said to go up 0.2 bar for high speed use but the GranTurismo does not.

Personally I feel that 32 psi is very low but I've stuck with it. Having TPMS on my car it's interesting to see that the rear tyres can easily go up to 36 psi when warmed up.

Handbook for QP V says 2.2 front, 2.0 rear for the 20 in wheels; I'm running that.

Cheers all - looks like I'm running the correct pressures all round.

It is interesting seeing the tyre pressures rise as you drive, shows how much heat is generated with all that rubber on the road !
