I plan to go see it later today, so will report back. I certainly don't need another car, but if the price is right and I can run it over the summer and then maybe sell it for level (or possibly even a tiny profit), why not?
I really don't see the clutch as an issue. This car could easily do another 20,000 miles on the current clutch. I sold my last QP with the clutch wear at about 75% (it was on its original clutch and had done about 35,000 miles). Two years on and the car is still running fine on that same clutch. I can't see why anybody would change the clutch until the wear figure was towards (if not over) 90%.
Change the clutch when it starts to slip or first gear won't select first time, no point before as the wear readings are so inaccurate. I remember when I had the one done on the GS, it came with nearly 20% wear on it from new. It's only a guide.
