Looks a little nose heavy round the bends but sounds lovely and seems to be pretty quick!

I don't see any reason why you couldn't fit the V8 in a Karif, engine bay is probably about the same size as a Ghibli. Handling might be a little entertaining with the short wheelbase though. I don't think its quite a straight swap but I don't think any major modifications are required.

Modena Performance in Germany have done a number of conversions, if you look at their website there are a few pictures of the conversion process. Select Maserati from the top menu, go to the Ghibli section then select the engine section, then select one of the boxes at the bottom for the V8 conversion and you'll see a few pictures.
